It could be said that Eileen Lawton’s photography speaks for itself.
However, thanks to numerous favorable reviews and awards in art and photography shows over the last two decades, it doesn’t often have to.
Here’s what one judge had to say. “Intriguing – a very strong statement through the use of vibrant saturated color.”
“Memorable.” “Breathtaking.” “Riveting.” These are words often used to describe Eileen’s creativity. “She loves colorful Americana.”
From capturing a “First Place Color Photography” recognition at the Plymouth Art Show to achieving the “Special Judges Recognition” at the Pembroke Art Show, Eileen’s masterful sense of art and eye for detail has created thousands of memorable impressions. Her work has been featured at the South Shore Art Center, the Richard Sparrow House Gallery in Plymouth (“Two Women, Two Artists, Two Friends” exhibit), the Duxbury Mid-Winter Art Show, the Main Street Gallery in Plymouth, and many others.
With color photography as her medium and an unrelenting eye for detail as her guide, Eileen is one of the more sought-after wedding photographers on the South Shore.
Eileen, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Stonehill College, a Master’s Degree from Northeastern University and who has pursued additional graduate studies at both Northeastern University and at Bridgewater State College, is a licensed clinical social worker who puts her background in psychology and counseling to good use. She understands that there is more to a wedding album than a series of images. She knows the concerns, the details and the stress that often accompanies planning a wedding, and works with the wedding family every step of the way to assure an excellent final result.
She holds memberships in the Plymouth Art Lottery Council, the Plymouth Art Guild, where she has served on the Board of Directors, the North River Arts Society, the Harbour Chorale Arts Society, the Company Theatre, Norwell, and the Pilgrim Festival Chorus. She is also the former Chairperson of the Plymouth Outdoor Arts Show. Eileen is also part of the Project Arts Summer Concert Series.
Eileen is a resident of Plymouth, MA and is a realtor with Century 21 Tassinari and Associates, 120 Court Street, Plymouth. Eileen was awarded the 2002 Community Service Award by the Century 21 National Organization for her dedication to customer service. And, recently, she was awarded the 2004 Plymouth and South Shore Association of Realtors Community Service Award for her goodwill of community members and community projects.
